i 24 years old and am 8 weeks postpartum. at 6 weeks postpartum i started having some spotting and pinkish/red/clear discharge . this lasted on off for about two weeks. since then i have been having nausea, bloating headaches. hot and cold flashes at night.fatigue and been feeling more hormonal. we are not using birth control, so i did twohome pregnancy tests which had a faint positive test line. but my hcg blood test came back negative. i also have hypothyroidism. if you can help would greatly appreciate. feeling yucky
As your blood test has been reported negative for pregnancy, I would ask for a proper clinical evaluation to rule out local causes, exclude infections through urinalysis, vaginal/cervical swabs and a pap smear and get a pelvic sonogram preferably in the trans-vaginal route to exclude pelvic causes.
If your hypothyroid state is under control through medication, this should not be the cause. Other causes include sudden weight changes, stress and certain medications. Please do not stress. Proper management can be planned after a proper appraisal of the situation. Maintain proper hydration and nutrition.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
