What Causes Pinprick Sensations In The Vagina?

It's really wierd. I am 14 (turning 15 in a few months), but I have these wierd needle feelings in my virgina area. Every once in a while for a few days now I felt 1 small prick (like from a needle) in the virgina. it only last maybe 2 seconds, but it is still uncomfortable. what is wrong with me? And I know it's not cramps. I just had my period so I am wondering if it has something to do with that, but this has never happened before...

Hi,
Most often, simple nerve twitching can be felt in this manner. The perineum being very well supplied with vessels and nerves, such sensations are usually expressed in an exaggerated manner. If you do not have any other complaint of excessive vaginal discharge, local swelling, general malaise or bleeding disturbances, there is no need to worry. You may, of course, see your gynecologist for a proper clinical examination to see if there is any specific attributable cause. Please have a healthy diet and adequate sleep. Take care.
