hi im a 50 year old female and i am experiancing pins and needles in my right hand particularly in my thumb with what feels like cramp in my upper right arm which is waking me up in the middle of the night which i have to get out of bed and walk about to get the feeling back again as you can appreciate it is very distressing as i have to get up at 4 30 am for work, it seems to be happening most nights, what could be causing this problem and how can i stop this happening? i weigh 13 stone and my height is 5, 5 and i am a smoker.
