What Causes Pins And Needles On Scalp, Back And Chest?

i have been experiencing a feeling like I m being stabbed by pins and needles. It usually comes on with heat like if i exercise or have a coat on inside and get to hot. It is worse on my scalp, my back, chest, stomach and arms. I went to the doctor and he thinks i have anxiety disorder but i don t get nervous and it doesn t happen when i do.

The pilossible diagnosis based on the description of the lesions is peripheral neuropathy. One of the most common cause of the same is diabetes mellitus which needs to be ruled out. Oral tablets containing pregabalin or amitryptyline may be started after consulting your doctor.Topical soothing lotions like calamine lotion can be also be used. Consult your dermatologist regarding the above mentioned therapy. Regards
