What Causes Pins And Needles Sensation In Lower Arms?
I have been getting weird sensations through my lower arms for sometime gradually getting worse over the months. the sensation is like pins n needles or as if I have my arm elevated and am losing feeling in them. My arms are also restless I find it hard to keep them still
I think you are having cervical spondylitis. In this there is nerve compression and it causes tingling and numbness in the shoulder and hand. Some time patient eel weakness in grasping object and decrease sensation in hand can occur. I would suggest you to get MRI of the neck. If there is disc herniation in neck then you will need physiotherapy. You will need to get intermittent cervical traction exercises. Tablet Pregabalin and methylcobalamine tablet daily will also help. If above mentioned measurement are not very effective then you can think of steroid injection. Soft cervical collar is also helpful. Avoid using very high pillow. Also avoid keeping neck on same position for long time.
