What Causes Polycythemia Vera?
I have Polycythemia Vera (high platelets and red blood cells, hematocrit). Im considering travelling to Thailand which has a high risk of Dengue fever (it causes low platelets). Is it more dangerous for me to get dengue fever than for a healthy person?

You have polycythemia vera. So your platelets count remains high. But it has no relation with risk of dengue fever. It is caused by bite of mosquito ades. So you have same risk of dengue like other person. No need to worry. Just be relaxed.
