What Causes Positive Pregnancy In Urine Test But Negative In Ultrasound?

im female patient 29 years old , married since 3 month , on february i have missed period so i check pregnancy in urine , it give positive results , i go to obstetrician but with ultrasound no any pregnancy signs intra or extra uterine , is it missed period ??? is it give +ve test ??

Hello,
There are many reasons that may give false positive urine pregnancy test
like 1. If test is not done properly as written in instruction guide. 2. impurities present in sample like soap, detergent or blood mixed. 3. if time of reading the result cross the given time on instruction ( evaporation line). 4. If you have taken any fertility treatment previously. 5. Medical conditions like Trophoblastic disease, Islet cell tumour. 6. some medications like Methadone, Promethazine. Or may be your yolk sac not formed properly when ultrasound was done.
So, you should consult a gynaecologist and discuss your problem properly and follow the instructions. Your pregnancy test and ultrasound should be done again to confirm.
