General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. Post mrnopausal bleeding needs to be taken care of urgently. *It may be caused by simple conditions like endometrial atrophy/ endometrial hyperplasia- these can be treated by medication alone. * Certain polyps may develop in genital tract which can bleed spontaneously. - These need to be removed surgically. * the very risky condition like cancer ( endometrial/cervical) can have same symptoms. Though not very much likely,Early diagnosis & early treatment is basic principle of it's treatment -for best survival. Please don't be scared, visit your doctor as planned before & hope for the best. Thanks.
