What Causes Pounding Of Heart With Crampy Feeling In Muscles?
I am 23 female, no previous known heart problems. But a few times this week my heart has been feeling like it is racing pounding and I get a heavy jelly crampy feeling in muscles. Today it has become much worse cannot settle it is as if you have come across a shark or something and your heart feels heavy and pounding as if it will beat out of chest. I feel really worried. I do have Cfs and under active thyroid and an eating disorder. Please advice me?
Hello! Thank you for your question! I understand your concern; seems like you have a hyperdynamic circulatory state most probably from the presence of the thyroid disorder; probably this is the reason of your chronic fatigue syndrome (Cfs) and eating disorder. So please consult your endocrinologist for a thyroid gland evaluation and for an adequate treatment of this disorder coupled with some life style changes, diet, etc. If hormone replacement therapy will be recommended than probably you should start low doses of Beta-blockers, but this should taken under a strict regiment. Hope to have been helpful to you Greetings from Dr. Iliri
