What Causes Pregnancy Symptoms But Negative Pregnancy Test When On Depo?

I m 24 years with one child and I am on and have have two rounds of the depo and my next shot is on the 13th. My boyfriend and I have nt been using protection and the last week I have been having a few pregnancy symptoms. Nausea, cravings, fatigue, mood swings, and tinder breasts. I ve taken an at home pregnancy test and it came up negative. Should I ask my OBGYN for a blood test when I go in for my next shot to be sure or is this normal for the depo.

Hello,

It can be due to both. But to be sure have pregnancy test after 1 week of miss of your period if still false have USG done to rule out the causes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Richa Agarwal, OBGYN
