What Causes Pressure And Pain In Chest, neck And Upper Back?
Hello. I m a 35-year-old male in good health. Over the last week we ve had hot weather and my AC was broken. I woke up dizzy and dehydrated one morning and noticed throughout that day that my left chest was quivering. Now, two days later I have lots of pressure and some pain in my chest, neck and upper back. A friend says this is angina. Is this a good diagnosis? If so, what should I do about it? Greg
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your situation and problem. Yes, your symptoms can be due to angina. Angina is chest pain due to cardiac diseases. Most common cause for this is Coronary artery disease (CAD). So we need to first rule out cardiac diseases in your case. Get done ecg, 2d echo and TMT (trade mill test). If all these are normal than no need to worry for heart diseases. But if any of these report is suggestive of CAD than you may need coronary Angiography. So first rule out cardiac diseases in your case. Hope I have solved your query. Wish you good health. Thanks.
