What Causes Pressure Feeling While Breathing After Bike Ride?
Basically I went on a bike ride this morning at 10am, got back at 11am. Its now 20:45 and when I breath in significantly it feels like someone is lightly pressing on the top of my chest. I ve never been on a bike ride this long so is it normal and it ll be fine after getting used to the bike ride?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. In my opinion, you are mostly having bronchitis (inflammation of airways) due to wind inhalation while driving bike for long time. Bronchitis can cause similar kind of pressure feeling in chest. So consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (pulmonary function test). If this shows obstructive Airway defect then you should avoid long drive on bikes. But if PFT report is normal then no need to worry, you can enjoy long drives and this will resolve with Time. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
