Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pressure In The Chest And Discoloration On The Hands?
My mother is 95 yrs young. The skin on the back of her hands are very black and she has started to experience chest pressure when she walks any distance. I am wondering is the two symptoms are rela ed and if we should be concerned. She has an appointment with her doctor on Monday.
If your mother was my patient, I would be worried about the chest pressure; when walking and would suggest you to go to hospital and do an ECG and a cardiac sonography to rule out any possible cardiac problem or to take the right treatment if there is a cardiac problem.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Anila Skenderi
