What Causes Pressure In The Left Ear?

Day 30 since a cold virus decided to take up housekeeping in my cochlea I do not have vestibular neuritis as I am not suffering from any dizziness or imbalance only the hearing in my left ear along with pressure and fullness going back to the ENT tomorrow to retake the hearing test taking my last prednisone tomorrow too yet there has been no change in the hearing in my left ear. What can I expect tomorrow at the doctor s office? Is this mild hearing loss permanent? How much longer until my ear clears up?

Hello,

Hearing loss and pain in the ear may be due to middle ear infection or eustachian tube blokage or labyrinthitis or BPPV with middle ear infection.

Please consult your doctor who will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
