Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I experience a pressure in my lower (bowel area mostly) and get a not so good feeling that raises my blood pressure. This happens frequently during the night when I m sleeping and it awakens me to the point that I have to get up and sit in a chair. Can you tell me if the lower intestine area can cause my blood pressure spike? I appreciate your reply.
There are possible reasons for colon or intestine spasm from indigestion or other issues. Alteration in blood pressure is due to the intensity of pain, rather than primary pathology.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
