What Causes Pressure While Urinating With A Bit Of Blood?
Hi there, My local doctor is shut until Monday and I would really like some peace of mind. A few nights ago I held my pee all night because i didn t want my 7 month old daughter waking up. When I finally peed that morning it was uncomfortable, felt like there was pressure pushing down and kind of a cramping feeling. A few more toilet trips that day it happened but each time less and less uncomfortable. Eventually it went didn t notice when but it did. Anyway, Yesterday I noticed a tiny bit of blood when wiping after peeing, but not enough to notice in the toilet bowl at all. Thought it might be my period still hanging around, but then noticed it was coming from my pee hole It s the tiniest bit and doesn t hurt when to pee or anything. Only that uncomfortable pressure feeling when I hold my pee for too long. Some advice and answers would really appreciate. Thank you. Ps, I breastfeed if this is a concern.
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
In most cases this is sign of uroinfection or kidneys stones. This is mainly self limiting and doesnt require any specific treatment and you should just be patient and have fluids to promote urination. Less likely it may indicate possible bleeding in urethra, bladder or kidneys from popped vessel or some other cause. IF this continues you should do urine analysis, urinoculture and kidneys ultrasound to rule these main causes out. You should drink raspberry tea and plenty of water till you do tests. Also, avoid sexual intercourse and have keep good hygiene. You should reduce salt in your diet as well since this could lead to increased risk of urinary stone formation. Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
