What Causes Pricking Sensation During And After Bowel Movement?

I have a pricking sensation during and after defeacation for the past few weeks. I am not seeing any traces of blood and have checked with a doctor who has administered pro-botic tablets. Even after a week, the condition remains the same. Any reason why?
