What Causes Problem In Breathing And Feels Like Throat Is Closing?
Hi my boyfriend has had a couple of spells where his throat feels like it is closing over and he can t get his breath. The first time he was drinking beer and thought some it may have slipped into this esophagus. Tonite he was not eating or drinking and it happened again. He became panicky as it lasted over 5 min. before he felt he could breath right again. Do you know what this might be?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood your history of your boyfriend having a couple of spells of feeling of choking over and unable to get breath, first time occurring while taking beer. Now that he got this without any eating r drinking at this particular time. The possible causes are: Severe inflammation in the throat. Stress and anxiety can cause such symptoms.
I would advise him the following: Get an opinion, clinical evaluation and examination including endoscopy and evaluation of the psychological pressures done so that the proper diagnosis and treatment can be instituted.
