What Causes Prolonged Bleeding With Headache And Vomiting Sensation?
hi my question is???? I have been on my period for the last 21 days..... I have been feeling very tired very depressed overwhelmed... I have also been feeling really sick I have had really bad headache it s like throwing up.... should I seek medical help
Yes,I would suggest you to immediately visit your gynaecologist since bleeding for more than 10 days should be treated immediately. Heavy blood loss can cause nutritional deficiency like anemia. You may require drugs like anti-fibrinolytics or hormonal drugs to control the bleeding. After controlling the excess bleed, the cause should be identified.
Hormonal imbalance is the most common cause of heavy bleeding. Pelvic ultrasound should be done to rule out any uterine or ovarian abnormalities. Hypothyroidism can also cause hormonal imbalance which should also be ruled out.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
