What Causes Prolonged Period After Having Depo Shot?

Well i really dont know what is going on... Ive had my period now for 16 days straight. Im taking the depo shot and only got my second dose a week ago. But before that i never had a period for the whole month of september. Then all of sudden on thanksgiving i got my period totally unexpected. Ive seen my doctor who just recently put me on apo-medroxy for ten days to see if this will work. So far they havent. Im very frustrated and its putting strain on my relationship i dont know what to do. Getting a rash from wearing pads for so long.

I you are having continuous bleeding even after starting medication then I suggest you visit a gynecologist and get ultrasound scan to rule out any uterine pathology.
If it started after taking depo, then it may be due to side effect of depo.
Along with current medication I also suggest you Tranexamic acid thrice a day.
