What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding Post Primolut-N Intake?

Hi. I took Primolut-N for about a week at 1x3. When I stopped, I got my period about 3 days later and have been bleeding for 5 days now. However, the bleeding at day 5 is much like what it is on day 2/3 of my normal menses. How much longer will I have bleeding?

Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

First of all do not panic.

Presently, I will suggest you to seek prescription support for tablet containing Tranexamic acid and Mefenamic acid 3 times a day for controlling the bleeding.

Secondly, please get USG done to know about any structural cause for the heavy bleeding like fibroids, polyp or adenomyosis.

Start on low dose oral contraceptive pills like Overall L, daily for 21 days and restart after a gap of 7 days. This will help to regulate your menstrual cycle.
You can follow this for 5 to 6 cycles.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
