What Causes Prominent Dark Veins On The Face With Headaches?
Just noticed some dark veins on the right side of my 93 year old Mom's face. They run from her temple to her eye, then back to her ear. I don't remember them being so pronounced before, and she has been having headaches lately. Should I rush her to the doctor this week, or is this a common occurance?

HI Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.
Prominence of veins in elderly people is very common. It is due to loss of elasticity in the skin and looseness of the skin. So there is no need to be of concern. But one thing you need to monitor is whether these veins are becoming unusually prominent is a short span of time ( in days to weeks ). In that case evaluation has to be done for the other causes of vein prominence.
Her headache could be due to stress , eye strain or elevated Blood pressure or due to problem in brain. I advise you give her Paracetamol and see for a day or two . If headache persists consult for doctor for evaluation.
Hope this information was useful to you. Any clarifications feel free to ask .
Regards.
