for the last couple of days I have had a burning sensation of my whole bottom area. not a lot of itching. I tried to use some monistat cream thinking it was a yeast infection. I noticed that the vaginal area was very puffy and burned. no discharge and no sex involved.
Hello, Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. In the current scenario, the possibilities are that you may have had some lower urinary tract infection with secondary changes in the vulval region. Use of tampons also predisposes to such symptoms especially if the tampons are left over for a prolonged period. Tight undergarments especially of synthetic nature are another cause. Do not douche or use strong soap solutions to clean the genital region. Use mild antiseptic solutions instead. Use sanitary napkins. You can use cold compress to relieve burning and get further help from your health care provider. Hope this helps.
