I have a blobby jelly area, in the outside corner of my right eye this morning. It looks like it would wipe out, but it doesn t. It is irregular and so doesn t look like a cyst. Do I need to have it looked at urgently. It is not afftecting my sight and doesn t feel any different..
The bloby jelly is called as chemosis. It couls ave occured due to some kind of an allergic reaction in the eye. The exact allergen may not be known. It could be pollen in the air or even dust particles. Chemosis occurs due to fluid accumalation in the conjunctiva( the translucent layer on the wite part of the eye). You can use anti-allergy eye drops such as Alaway/Zaditor eye drops, 1 drop twice a day for a week. Nothing to worry about.
