What Causes Puffiness In Eye Lids?

My five year old daughter was diagnosed with mono and hepatitis on Wednesday. The main symptom that the doctors noticed, that motivated them to test her blood, was that her eyelids were inflammed. She also fell off of the bed about two weeks ago and hit her head on the corner of a dresser. Do you think there is any connection to her puffy eyelids and her fall off the bed?
