What Causes Pulsation Near Temple Region On Face?

My eye was twitching all last week. It stopped and has been replaced by a slow pulsing between my upper cheek bone and my temple on the left side of my face. What could this be? It's like fluid moving, I don't know how to describe it. Not a true numbness - and not numb anywhere else. I am 58, 5'4", 126 lbs, have a history of epilepsy but no seizures for 25 years - on dilantin and phenobarb daily and once/mo Actonel for osteoporosis.
