What Causes Pulsations In Abdomen During Pregnancy?

hello sir/mam, i am 5 month pregnent i was admitted in hospital last week becuse of dehydration.is any causes harm to my baby...and one more when i sleep in the bed i feel some heart beat in the abdominal(stomach)what is that.and when i feel my baby movement.

hi,yes severe dehydration can cause decrease in the amniotic fluid but when dehydration is corrected the amniotic fluid levels also come to normal,rest no other complication in the baby.the pulsations you are feeling are your own aortic pulsations and its normal in pregnancy as cardiac output rises so it becomes more evident.baby movements will begin to appreciate by 20 weeks in case its your first baby and by 18 weeks in case its 2 or 3 order birth as multigravidas can percieve it earlier.take care and all the best.
