What Causes Purple Bruise Between Thumb And Index Finger?

This morning I had an itch on top of my hand between my thumb and index finger. I scratched
And then about 15minutes later I developed an almost purple bruise about the size of a silver dollar and itching stopped. Can it be determined what kind of bite?

I really appreciate your concern if the lesion is just on one site as you have described here and no on other site then this could be insect bit only now you have to wait for some time if this dies not get al right then you need to see the doctor to find the sting either of honey bee or of the similar creature, hope this information helps you (for symptomatic relief apply Diphenhydramine lotion)
