What Causes Purple Colored And Spotty Ringworm Like Infection?
Hi i had what originally looked like a ringworm, i was pretty worn down when i got it and also had a bad virus at the same time but now i ve been putting anti-bacterial cream on the area for about a month and it hasn t gone away. It s not itchy anymore and purple in colour and spotty. What is this?
I have taken your details into consideration. To me it appears that you are having ring worm or Tinea infection since it looked like that and secondly iot did not respond to antibiotic use.
to anyone with these features, i would have suggested the following: 1 use some Miconazole preparation locally 2 Oral anti fungal like Terbinafine twice a day 3 anti allergic like Cetirizine if itching appears 4 Keeping the affected area dry and clean to prevent future infection 5 Assessment of sugar levels to rule out predisposing cause like diabetes.
I am sure you will modify your approach in such a way so that an early recovery can be attained Best wishes
