What Causes Purple Spots Below My Shoulder Blades?

Hi I have four purple/brown spots, two smaller ones and two larger ones, a couple of inches below both of my shoulder blades. They are all kind of circular and smooth, no raised edges. I noticed them for the first time today. I do not wear anything that would sit on my back in that area so I m not sure what is causing this.

I tried to imagine your skin problem from your history, and guess what it seems to be tinea versicolor that matches your description, believe me it's totally asymptomatic, harmless condition that is caused by commensel fungi, M.furfur (P.ovale), it may go away spontaneously but bette r to apply ketoconazole lotion twice a day ,
At least for 4 weeks, and lotion containing selenium sulfide half hour before bath for 5 days.

It will be possibly best if you can send images of the skin lesion to make sure, (drraseshpatel@gmail.com).
