I have some kind of rash or infection on my middle finger. It has open sores with puss as well. I have tried cortizone, lotrimin and other topical lotions but nothing helps. i have also been on amoxicillin for 7 days. I have had this problem for at least 3 weeks. I m not sure what to do?

Hi.
As per your case history you are having pompholyx.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for 5-7 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
