Well, for the past week, I ve been battling with my nose in like puss coming out of it. I tried phoning health links in getting step by step processes. But they said that the puss has to drain out. That was a day after puss started coming out on the left side of my nostril. Ever since this started a week ago, I ve been dealing with it. Everyday I use about 3 boxes of tissue paper, and its effecting my ability to attend Work also. I m not hurting inside my nose or anything, its just the puss won t stop coming out. It stinks! It gives me a little headache because I sniff it out. I usually make a little ball of tissue paper and put it inside my nose so that the puss will stop coming out. I m not even allergic to anything that will affect my nose also. It s been like this for a week and I m getting fed up with it! bleh.
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
The most common cause of pus in the nose is infection located somewhere within the nasal cavity. Often this is caused by a primary illness that eventually escalates into a sinus infection. At other times, a sore or pimple can lead to pus inside the nose which comes from the sore itself. I suggest to do a sinus xray for further evalaution. Meanwhile, I suggest using anti inflammatory medication such as Acetominophen for the headache. I also suggest saline nasal spray. Antibiotics may be needed.
