i am 32 male patient who was diagnosed 5 yrs ago with chlamydia,my dr injected me an antibiotic before and the pus on my brief disappear and I became okay since then, now just 2 weeks ago i felt frequent urination and every morning i have yellow green pus on my brief, i returned to my doctor and gave me a non-specific antibiotic to be taken for 1 week, now its already 1 week but still I have pus on my brief, what should I do?
Hi, Welcome to HCM. It seems your treatment is inadequate. You have to meet a specialist who handle Sexually transmitted diseases frequently and updated himself then and there. A smear has to be taken from the pus and to be examined by an expert to rule out or confirm Gonococci. If necessary a specimen from the pus has to be sent for culture of Gonococci. Appropriate antibiotics for Gonorrhea or Chlamydia for adequate duration along with a test for cure ensures a total relief. Your sex partners also to be investigated and treated. Wish you a speedy recovery. Dr S.Murugan
