What Causes Racing Heart, Chest Pain And Tight Upper Back?

Good morning. I often have a racing heart and when I wake the centre of my chest hurts, I do sleep on my back. I have had a 24 hour monitor and an echo, both have come back normal. I do have a very tight upper back, could this be causing the pain? I am leaning towards overactive thyroid for the racing heart. What do you think?

Hello
welcome to hcm
well if your echo n 24 hour monitoring r normal then yes thyroid abnormality is indeed a possibility n you should get a thyroid profile including

● T3 / T4 / TSH LEVELS

ULTRASOUND OF THYROID GLAND

and for back pain get a XRAY OF CERVICO-THORACIC SPINE n show it to a orthopedician to evaluate for any spinal or vertebral abnormality in the form of prolapse disc or osteoporosis/osteoarthritic changes
