i was washing dishes and pain in chest started in middle to left side then the pain went into my ribs under my breasts only and in my lower neck or throat area.Wondered what it could have been it lasted 15 minuets and hurt sitting standing or laying down but is now gone

Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query.As you having a left sided chest pain an ECG should be taken to rule out a cardiac cause of it.If that is clear and you have any associated gastric symptoms like heartburn or feeling of something struck in throat then it is most likely due to gastritis or gastric reflux.In such case a proton pump inhibitor therapy like esomeprazole or rabeprazole combined with anti emetic like domperidone for 1 week will clear up your problem.If again pain is there associated with exertion then a treadmill test should be taken to rule out any cardiac ischemia.Hope this may help you.
