What Causes Radiating Pain From Hip To Thigh With History Of Hip Injury?
Hello. I have pain in my right hip that radiates down the side/front of my thigh to the outside of my knee and the shin. Sometimes my entire pelvis hurts, including the pelvic floor. I have an appt. next Tuesday with a hip specialist. I had an injury to the hip in 1990 that I never had diagnosed; eventually the injury seemed to heal with only periodic painful reminders. I d like to have some idea of what this might be - it s affecting my quality of life because walking, sitting and standing (housecleaning, exercise, etc.) are painful. I m 65 and had a complete hysterectomy in 2001.
hello dear, i understood your concern, the history of injury is long back it is insignificant. this is due to wear and tear at your hip joint . probably due to working pattern, increased age,or menopause. due this wear and tear of bone they compress adjacent nerve resulting in pain in your thigh ,knee ,shin.
so get advice from good orthopadecian . he will initially take x ray of your hip and asses degree of wear and tear, and prescribe you treatment. take high calcium diet. thank you.n
