What Causes Raised Red Itchy Blotches On Face/ears When Under Sun?
my 3 year old was playing outside today. It was very sunny all day. I had applied sunscreen to his ears and neck prior to going outside. Several hours later he was complaing of itching and when I looked at him the sides of his face had raised red blotches and his ears were bright red. Could he be allergic to the sun?

I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here I could say that the child must be having allergy to the sun and this need to be avoided right now the condition can be treated with the "Diphenhydramine" lotion this would come around and no need to worry about this, hope this information helps you take care and have a nice day.
