What Causes Raised Welts And Swelling On Body?

hi, I get raised welts on varying places on my body, they swell up and then go away very quickly. They happen on the same place, over and over. they are not extremely painfull, just irritating, they started when I was in a tropical environment about 2 years ago, and seem to be brought on by heat and or stress. Any thoughts on what they could be a symptom of?
