What Causes Randomly Occurring Fever And Blurred Speech?
My husband has been running an inconsistent fever. Up and down. Highest about 101. He takes insulin. He drank more alchol than usual. The inability to walk on his own was expected. But most of his speech came out gibberish. He is sleeping now. No usual signs of stroke FAST. Is this likely a high blood sugar that will clear after sleep?
Hello, Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Rakesh Sharma answering your query. I can understand your concern. His slurred speech may be because of alcohol , combined with fever. Not because of high blood sugar. Sponge with water. If he does not wake up easily ,or any thing abnormal like slurring , it is time to act fast.Call your doctor.. Hope this helps. Good luck.
