What Causes Rapid Heart Beat After Sneezing?

Why did my heart begin and continue to beat rapidly for several minutes after I sneezed? I was able to stop it by leaning over, taking a deep breath and wrapping my arms around my chest just below the breast area and quickly squeezing while exhailing.

Hi Welcome to HCM
It is normal phenomenon while sneezing there could be some anxiety leading to rapid beating of heart. So no need to worry.Relax yourself. If palpitations occur regularly on routine work you should screen for any arrythmias.Get an EKG ,2D ECHO,Lipid profile, complete blood picture ,chest x ray as a part of screening of your heart.Check your blood pressure, heart rate.Drugs like betablockers will be helpful.Exercise regularly for20-30min.Restrict your daily salt intake to less than 6g.Consult your doctor for further queries and expert management.
Thankyou.
