What Causes Rapid Heart Rate While Sleeping And Heart Burn?
I just had some type of episode happen to me. I was napping on the couch and woke to a rapid heart beat. The whole middle of my chest had a burning feeling and then it felt like ice running through the rest of my body. I thought I was gonna pass out. I had just taken an Ativan about 3 hours prior to this happening.

Rapid heart rate associated with feeling of as if you are going to pass out , should be taken seriously .
You have not mentioned your age and sex .whether you are diagnosed with any illness or you are taking any medicine or not.
In my opinion you should consult to your physician and get expert opinion about that.
