What Causes Rash And Pain Over Surgery Site On Shoulder?
I have a rash over my shoulder joint. I had surgery five months ago and then adhesive capsulitis. The rash is itchy red and raised. The doctor says it is not shingles which I have already had plus the shingles vaccine. I am 61, female, and am still in pain from the surgery. My doctor said it is an allergic reaction. I have no clue as to anything unusual in my daily medications or routines.
You seem to be developing an allergic rash over the site of surgery. You should avoid application of anything over it . Do not apply any other cream or oil over the affected area. You might need to treat the area with topical steroid application. Oral antihistamines are also required along in most cases .
