OCASSIONALLY THROUGHOUT THE DAYS IT STINGS AND ITCHES. WHAT COULD IT BE? I KNOW I HAVE HERPES TYPE 1 , COLD SORES BUT I NEVER EVER HAVE GOTTEN THIS ON MY STOMACH BEFORE AND THE TINY BUMPS SURROUNDING LOOK LIKE A RASH SPREADED BUT I NOTICED TODAY THEY LOOK LIKE SMALL BLISTERS :( IM SCARED AND MY DOCTOR SEEN IT AND SAID IT LOOK HERPISH BUT JUST TOLD ME TO PUT NEOSPORIN ON IT. HI,
Welcome to healthcaremagic.com
I have read your query in detail and do understand your concern.

An itchy rash on the lower abdomen can be due to a fungal infection.
Remember to wear loose cotton clothing specially when at home.
Avoid hot humid climate, keep the affected area dry and avoid synthetic innerwear.
Do not use any over-the-counter medication over this area as it may be containing certain ingredients which may the increase the problem.
A course of oral and topical antifungal medicine eg, terbinafine is usually enough to cure one of this disease.
Are any other family members affected?

You may send a picture of the affected area for better assessment, whether it is herpetic or fungal.

However, you can continue to apply neosporin over this until any other diagnosis is confirmed.

Hope this helps!
You can revert back if you have any other question.
Good luck!
