What Causes Rashes On Face/chest After Taking Augmentin For Laryngitis And Fever?
Hi! I have severe laryngitis and fever, and have been prescribe Augmentine Duo. I started on the medication yesterday. By evening, my face and chest turned red. I am also being treated for non-alcoholic fatty liver and cholesterol. Do I discontinue Augmentine? And what about the rash?

Yes you should discontinue as you are having allergic response from augumentin. Make sure you tell doctor in future that you are allergic to it. You can take levofloxacin as an alternative. Rash will subside itself in few days. If itching occurs the you can take cetirizine one at night.
