hi, I ve developed a rash in between my legs my inner thighs and the first case I saw it was about a week ago and I could kind of peel the skin just recently I developed a rash again only it is more bumpy and not easily manipulated and I don t know what s causing this I thought it might have been a reaction to fish oil but I haven t taking fish oil in about 72 hours so not sure what this rash could be from and how could I get rid of it. Also it does not itch.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
I will keep a possibility of fungal infection/tines cruris. Involvement of Inner thighs and groin folds is classical of fungal infection/tinea cruris. Scaling/peeling is a feature in fungal infections. A KOH preparation made from the scale taken from the area can be scanned under the microscope for fungal elements and would be confirmatory of fungal infection. Itching is subjective in individuals and may be absent in early stages. I would suggest that you may use an OTC topical antifungal e.g clotriamzole 1% cream, twice daily for 2-4 weeks If the rash does'nt respond as expected Or if it worsens, you may visit a specialist dermatologist for a review.
