What Causes Rashes On Hands And Itching Throughout The Body?

My daughter got bit by something. The bites are in the shape of a triangle on the tender part of her inner forearm and causing her full body itching. Her arms have reacted into a red rash. I had her shower, I put on peroxide and had her take two allergy pills. What could have caused this reaction?

Hi,

Most probably your daughter would have developed lichen urticatus. It is a hypersensitivity reaction to some insects like bedbug,flea,mosquito...etc

You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis.

Still, I would recommend...

- antihistaminics like hydroxyzine HCL tab 10 mg twice a day
- steroid in tapering dose like methyl prednesolone
- mild steroid cream application
- avoidance of insects bite
