What Causes Rashes On The Wrist While Using Betnovate Cream?
Hi, I just landed in Spain today and walked all day in the hot weather and i noticed my scrotum burning increasingly during the day and now it s red and looks inflamed. I tried applying hand sanitizer first to clean up which resulted in pretty intense pain. I happen to have betnovate cream 0.1% w/w with me, it s in my med kit, got it for a rash on my wrist last month. Can I use this as an ointment or is it not recommended? I m pretty sure it s just bad chafing but I could be wrong. Thanks!
Intertrigo is inflammation of body folds such as in the creases of the groin. It is due to heat, friction and moisture. The areas can become infected with bacteria or fungi.
The folds should be separated by cotton or linen material if possible. The cream can be used along with a barrier creams to reduce friction for example, petrolatum or a zinc based cream.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
