What Causes Recurrent Abdominal Pain After A Colectomy?
my husband had colonectomy 2 months ago because of colon cancer. 16 inches was removed because of cancer in lymph node chemo was required. He recently started experiencing abdominal pain that comes and goes and vomiting. does this sound like bowel obstruction to you
HI Well come to HCM Thank for asking I really appreciate your concern, just symptoms of abdomen pain and vomiting may not give any clue of intestinal obstruction, with the history of malignancy secondary lesion needs to be ruled out, later on comes the obstruction and to ruled out the obstruction clinical examination and investigation needed without this it can not be said to be a obstruction, some simple dyspepsia could be the reason of abdomen pain and obstruction hope this information helps.
