What Causes Recurrent Abdominal Pain After Eating Food?

My husband has developed pain in his abdomen after eating on and off. It went way for a few months and has come back, we are trying gluten free and lactose free diet which has reduced it but it has not completely gone. He is on beta blocker and statin since two years, could that be a side effect

The cause of these symptoms seems to be chronic gastritis with or without ulcer from long term use of a statin. We strongly recommend undertaking an upper gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy for the diagnosis and further guidelines.
