What Causes Recurrent Black Mole On Lower Eyelid?

My husband had a mole on his lower eye lid that was there for years. It started to change slightly so he had it removed a few years ago and it left a white patch (I assume this was a scar). It has now grown back is is bigger than before. Why do some miles grow back? And is it likely to just get bigger. It is literally on the line with his eye lashes and so we re warery about having another op albeit minor op on his eye. He says it s not bothering him but I m worried about it.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi. Moles, if not completely removed, do come back. So, only way to get rid of it is complete excision. If its near eyelid, consult a oculoplastic surgeon. If you may choose to leave it as such. In that case, have a periodic check up
By a dermatologist. Hope it answers your queries
